systems
Gas central heating systems come in two main designs, the traditional ‘open vented’ system with a large cold water and a small feed/expansion (‘header’) tank in the loft, and pressurised ‘sealed’ systems where you generally have no tanks in the loft. Hot water is supplied either from a cylinder (vented or un-vented), directly from a combination boiler, or in increasing numbers of new properties, through a thermal store. Open vented systems are rapidly giving way to sealed systems with mains fed hot water. Brentwood Heating can survey your system to give you the best possible options on upgrading to greater comfort.
